Family Support
Family Support
Working with parents and carers is a key part of the work at Newport Children Centre. Even before the centre came into fruition it was recognised, at Newport Primary School that helping parents was a key role for the community. Being available and offering support has enabled many parents to take an active part in more than just their children's learning.
Toy Library
A time for parents and young children to meet and to share. Plenty of time to play and have fun together, to make new friends and to find new toys and activities. Toys can be borrowed from the Toy Library but this is only a small part of the Toy Library at Newport Children Centre.
Every week two sessions are held, on Thursdays 10 .00am– 11.30am
and 1.15pm – 2.45pm
Until the new building is finished you will find us at Newport Primary School in the building, called Toy Library!
Come and join us
For more information speak to Sharon Tomkins

Work in the community
Newport Children Centre will carry on the excellent work of making contact with parents in the community.
Visits are made to homes and from the first few meetings there will be some time spent at the Children Centre to meet other parents and to help the children to settle in to nursery and school
