Health Services at Newport Children Centre


 

There is the foundation of a programme for delivering health services direct to the community through the Children Centre.

 

The aim is that it will provide a 'one stop' place where parents can come and access many services that will help children and families in the early years.



 

At the moment the services include:


 

Speech and Language support with Amanda Baxter
 
Special Needs

Community Nursery Nurse makes regular visits.

Visitor makes contact with children and parents through the nursery.


 

Dietitian - A new service which will be available this Summer term and will offer a range of healthy options for food for children and families.
 
Midwife support when mothers can make times for ante natal and post natal appointments.


Baby clinic for advice on breastfeeding, weaning, healthy choices etc...
