Open Day 2009
Goody bags were given to every child and refreshments were
provided for the families, which because the weather to kind
to us and the sun shone, the gardens became ‘picnic areas’,
which was great to see. The children enjoyed playing on the
new outdoor equipment and exploring the playhouses.
Our centre is still evolving and developing, from the original Nursery to what it is now – a centre that is able to provide Daycare; Free Early Years Education; Child & Family Health Services; Family Support; Employment & Training advice, all under one roof.
We are continuing to grow and need your continued help and support to be able to do, so please, if you can spare a few minutes to complete the Consultation Form, this would be greatly appreciated.
Finally a big thank you to the staff team at the Newport Children Centre, Head Teacher, local services, but mostly YOU for coming along to support us and making the day the success it was.
Over 100 families and nearly 200 children came along to join in all the fun and excitement around the centre.
Including a range of activities including face painting; art workshops; play equipment, computers along with information and advice from Newport Children Centre staff; Children’s Information Service; Speech & Lang; Health visitor; Dietician; Leyton Police Officers and our local Fire Service who bought along their Fire Engine, which everyone seemed to enjoy climbing into.
